MIDATIN® PE-900

Application Fields

MIDATIN® PE-900 is designed for exterior coating of metal packaging components where high flexibility and strong adhesion are required during forming operations.

Typical applications include:

• Exterior base coating for deep-drawn tinplate and aluminum cans used in food and beverage packaging.
• White base coat for printed can bodies, providing an opaque background that enhances color brightness during lithographic printing.
• Coating of metal closures, lids, and ends requiring good elasticity during stamping and forming operations.
• Exterior protective coating for metal packaging exposed to sterilization or pasteurization processes.

The coating is particularly suitable for roller-coating lines used in coil coating and sheet coating operations prior to can forming.

Processing

Stir well before use

• Thinner: Thinner for can coating
• Application: Roller coater
• Curing conditions: 12-15 minutes at 195°C

Storage

In original containers 12 months at a temperature of +5 to +25°C
