MIDATIN® PH-950

Application Fields

MIDATIN® PH-950 is an interior protective lacquer developed for food-contact metal packaging requiring strong chemical resistance and good forming performance.

Typical applications include:

• Interior coating for tinplate, TFS, and aluminum food cans.
• Protective lacquer for cans used for vegetables, fruits, fish, and other preserved foods.
• Interior coating for metal lids and easy-open ends requiring resistance to food acids and sterilization conditions.
• Barrier coating preventing metal-food interaction and corrosion inside food containers.

The coating is designed for application by roller-coating lines prior to forming operations and provides reliable protection during retort sterilization and long-term food storage.

Processing

Stir well before use

• Thinner: Special Thinner for can coating
• Application: Roller coater
• Curing conditions: 12-15 minutes at 195°C

Storage

In original containers 12 months at a temperature of +5 to +25°C
